Memebox Benton Value Set Unboxing

Purchased Affiliate / Referral Link

Memebox had a value set on their site, and seeing as that I had tried Benton's products and like them, I decided to purchase the Benton Value Set. Along with this whole set, I also purchased my first Memebox, which is currently being shipped.

What is it?

Memebox is the "world's No.1 K-beauty store" and "curates only the most trusted, best-loved Korean beauty products at everyday prices."

Benton derived its name from "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" and claims to be a natural cosmetics company. I find it very misleading that they claim other companies are using "chemical ingredients" and that they are using "natural ingredients." Everything in this tangible universe is pretty much a chemical, so Benton is most definitely using chemicals. Perhaps the word they are looking for is synthetic?

Brochure on Benton's products.

Cost

This originally costs $30 USD for the set and shipping, and with discounts, I recieved this for around $21.50 USD.

Shipping

I ordered this box on Nov. 19th, it shipped Nov. 28th, and arrived on Dec. 3rd. All packages come with a tracking number.

Packaging

This set arrived in a pink bubble mailer. Inside the bubble mailer is the pink box shown below.

Contents

The entire box's contents.

Snail Bee High Content Essence
~$15USD per 60mL
This is a gel type product and it is a light moisturizer that makes my skin hydrated, but needs another moisturizer on top. I don't mind layering moisturizers at all, and I tend to do so because directly putting on a creamier product is too heavy for me.

Snail Bee High Content Steam Cream
~$15USD per 50g
This product is thick and stiff like cooled coconut oil when it is below room temperature. Unless you warm it up in your hands, it is hard to spread, but I like this cream as a heavy duty moisturizer and will be the last moisturizer in my skincare routine.

Snail Bee High Content Mask Pack
~$2USD per mask
I enjoy using sheet masks, and this will be my first time trying this product out. Hope that I don't have any adverse effects from this.

O& Soap Berry Bubble Cleanser
This is the free gift from Memebox! Sadly, I don't do foaming cleansers and this one has a high pH of about 8.5 so I will not be using this.

Conclusion

If I bought everything separately, the Benton products would total $50 USD (Memebox values this set as $54 USD) and I would have to pay shipping. For $30 USD with shipping included and a gift, this set is a great value!

I will be using all the Benton products because I picked them out and I already like Benton. I understand there was a contamination issue in Mar. 2014 with the Snail Bee Essence either from the production facilities or from preservatives that do not work as well because they claim that they only use "natural" preservatives, whatever that means. But that issue has been resolved and I have good results from using Benton's moisturizers from some samples I received, especially during the winter that I will still continue to use Benton's products.

Overall, I am very pleased with this set from Memebox for the value and the extra item they gifted me.
